GH spoilers for Tuesday, July 13, 2021, reveal a huge surprise, a supportive mom, a defensive teen, and so much more. You won’t want to miss a dramatic moment of this new episode.
GH Spoilers Highlights
After announcing to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that she needs to leave town, the frenemy asks Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) if she’s sure she’s in the right frame of mind to make such a drastic decision. And considering how badly Maxie seems to be losing it, it definitely seems to be a valid concern. In fact, her question must kickstart Maxie’s brain into overdrive because the tortured mother looks to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for advice. She pretty much has a full-on breakdown with her sister-in-law, leading Nina to wonder if Maxie is thinking about stealing Bailey from Brook Lynn. Maxie’s babbling about it leaves Nina even more confused.
But before all of that happens, Nina is the one seeking advice. She welcomes over her BFF (we still have no idea how these two could even be civil, never mind BFFs but that’s for a commentary one day) Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who asks Nina if she’s ready to go back to Pennslyvania. After all, that guy Mike (Maurice Benard) she was talking about is still there and he may be missing her. Ava is absolutely right about that bit but is Nina ready to leave Wiley to return to her other life? Ava goes on to ponder if Mike should come to Port Charles and she could have both but Nina nixes that Nixon Falls move for Mike — letting her friend know that there is no way the two could ever live in Port Charles together. Now Ava is the one confused.
General Hospital Spoilers: Smike’s On Pins and Needles
Mike sure hopes he and Nina can be together. GH spoilers say that he awaits important news. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) tells Smike something to try to bolster him — probably that she believes Nina is missing him something awful — and he says they both know it’s not the truth. Because if she missed him half as much as Phyllis believes, she’d have returned one of his phone calls by now. Wait, what?! She does return his call! But Mike realizes that Nina doesn’t have an important piece of information about her dear friends — no one has told her about Lenny’s (Rif Hutton) dire condition. He asks Phyllis about it when a doctor arrives with news about Lenny’s heart. Uh oh, things don’t look too good for the kind bar owner, which will upset Mike greatly.
Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) once again is put in the position of defending Ava to her new pal but that isn’t a deal-breaker for the smitten teen. In fact, Trina wants to show off “Victor” (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to show that he’s real. Of course, childhood pal Joss is the last person Spencer can risk seeing and he’ll come off like a giant jerk when he refuses to let Trina take a selfie of them to prove to Joss her new pal is real. Spencer will also hear that the police are closing in on the stalker and he’ll dump those pretty dope shoes he’s got. Meanwhile, his grandmother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) tries to bolster Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). She tells him she’s had an update on the investigation. Eventually, Spencer will finally reveal to them both that he is back in Port Charles, thrilling them both.

General Hospital Funny Business
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) tells Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that it’s time to decide who will replace Valentin as ELQ CEO. But guess what? He doesn’t want the job he’s also felt was due him, even without going to school or taking any business classes. Thank goodness he wants Ned in the top spot! Not so fast says Ned. He has to see if this could keep Olivia from taking him back first. Nope, she’s good! He can accept the position. The board meeting has to get started so that decisions can be made, but there’s a good chance things will not go as planned.
Elsewhere, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) tells Austin (Roger Howarth) that there’s always a first time for everything. One thing that wouldn’t be a first is Scott interrupting the ELQ board meeting, which he will be doing because General Hospital spoilers reveal that he shares a big announcement — and it’s poised to change everything. What is it? Why, it’s the fact that Austin has every right to be in the Quartermaine mansion, attending the ELQ board meeting. Why you may ask? Austin will tell you why! He finally says his full name — Austin Gatlin Holt! For longtime viewers of General Hospital, you realize that means he was raised by Charity Gatlin and Jimmy Lee Holt, who just so happens to be Edward Quartermaine’s bastard child who won hearts back in the 1980s. Will Austin end up doing the same — we think so!
