Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital (GH) this week or in the not-too-distant future?
Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.
The week of February 6, 2023
Adam Huss continues his run as Nikolas Cassadine. The actor has once again stepped in for Marcus Coloma and will portray the character until his storyline wraps up.
Real Andrews makes another appearance as Marcus Taggert. Look for the former cop to interact with Genie Francis’ Laura and Tanisha Harper’s Jordan.
Heather Mazur clocks back in as Eileen Ashby, the duplicitous Deputy Mayor of Port Charles. She’ll share scenes with her cohort in crime, Charles Shaughnessy’s Victor.
Inga Cadranel made a surprise ghostly appearance as Harmony Miller. The character briefly appeared to her adopted daughter, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), when she flatlined after giving birth to a baby girl.
GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
