It’s just another day on General Hospital when the more emotionally healthy half of a broken up couple is a former mobster who once held a knife to his allegedly beloved’s throat.
On the other hand, Julian (William deVry) has been a supportive boyfriend to Kim (Tamra Braun) while she dealt with the death of her son, Oscar (Garren Stitt) — even during that uncomfortable period when Kim was desperate to have another baby with any man handy.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), on the other hand, is still the hot mess she always was. Though she’s been trying to see a therapist about it, so that’s good. She was considering dating her therapist. That’s…less good.
With Kim in a bad state — and Franco (Roger Howarth) suddenly having Drew’s (Billy Miller) memories — and Alexis still weak in the knees over Julian’s abs — knife to the throat, be damned — should these crazy kids just reunite already, and put all of us out of our misery? We’ve been waiting forever, 58% of you sigh with frustration. Of course, they should get back together! They’re perfect for each other. Alexis loves mobsters, and Julian loves women who claim they’re upstanding but are really just as screwed up as he is.

Theirs is love for the ages, who cares that it started with a drunken teenage hook-up that produced daughter Sam (Kelly Monaco). Neither one will be able to do any better. They might as well avoid doing worse.
End Of the Road
Knife, 42% of the audience sighs. Throat. Betrayal. Dysfunction. Therapy. Trying to do better. Reuniting with Julian would be backsliding on Alexis’ part.
