Former General Hospital baddie Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry Jacks) is set to recur on Debris, a brand new, science fiction thriller headed to the Peacock network.
New Gig For General Hospital’s Sebastian Roché
According to Deadline, the series will follow, “Two agents from two different continents and two different mindsets” who are forced to work together during an investigation into a downed alien spacecraft whose scattered parts begin to mysteriously affect humankind.
Debris will star Jonathan Tucker and Riann Steele as Bryan Beneventi, a CIA operative, and Finola Jones, an MI6 operative, respectively. Meanwhile, Roché will play Brill, described as an “enigmatic MI-6 agent who seems to have his own agenda.”
In addition to the actors mentioned above, the series cast also includes Tony Award nominee Norbert Leo Butz, Scroobius Pip (The Bastard Executioner, Taboo), and Anjali Jay (Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Supergirl).
Debris will serve as a reunion of sorts between its creator, J.H. Wyman (Almost Human), and Roché. Roché guest-starred in five episodes of Fringe, the sci-fi television program that Wyman shepherded for the entirety of its five-year run.
Roché’s other genre credits include recurring roles on Batwoman, The Man in the High Castle, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Supernatural, as well as guest spots on Grimm and Once Upon a Time.
However, the actor is still fondly remembered by several daytime devotees for his role as Jerry Jacks on General Hospital – the devilish, hard to hate rogue who causes his far saintlier brother Jax frequent trouble.
Roché’ initially joined the cast of the ABC soap in the role of terrorist Mr. Craig, though his identity as plastic surgery altered Jerry, a character formerly played by Julian Stone, was eventually uncovered. Roché last appeared on GH on December 22, 2015. Debris will premiere Monday, March 1 on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
