When Scarlett first arrived in Port Charles, the General Hospital character went through quite a few identities and parents for a small child. It’s hard to believe it’s been four years already since Lulu found the daughter she just knew in her heart she had. Now, actress Scarlett Fernandez is celebrating her anniversary with the soap.
“Four years ago today Charlotte West made her debut on General Hospital. What I remember about my first episode is how friendly @ryanpaevey and @kirstenstorms made me feel, and how welcomed I was!” the actress or her parents posted to her Instagram account.
“It has been such a fun 4 years, and I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love so much. Thank you @markteschner and @valentini_frank for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime! And thank you to everyone who has watched me go from Charlotte West, to Charlotte Munro, to Charlotte Cassadine!! Love you all!”
Charlotte has certainly been through a lot since Claudette (Bree Williamson) first brought her to town and claimed that Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was Charlotte’s dad. Soon, she changed her story and claimed Griffin (Matt Cohen) was the father.
Well, in the end, it turned out Claudette wasn’t even her biological mother. She just carried the embryo created by Helena (Constance Towers) using Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) “parts” and Charlotte knew the whole time who her “papa” was, despite being shipped from dad to dad.
Fernandez made Charlotte into quite the unique character by turning her into a spoiled little princess who went on to bully her cousin, Aiden (Jason David). But you still see her child vulnerability in every scene, even when she’s sneaking around with a literal snake at birthday parties.
Soap Hub congratulates Fernandez on her anniversary with GH and we hope to see her back on our screens soon. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
