General Hospital alum Nicolas Bechtel said goodbye to the character he portrayed off and on over the years starting in 2013 — Spencer Cassadine — last year. However, today, the teenager is busy celebrating a special milestone.
Happy Birthday, Nicolas Bechtel
The former soap opera star was born on February 16, 2005, in Fontana, CA, which means that this talented actor is turning 17 years old today! Bechtel began his career with a small part on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives.
Subsequently, the young actor appeared in the television movie The List and made guest appearances on television series such as The Goodwin Games, Good Luck Charlie, Baby Daddy, and Girl Meets World.
Nicolas Bechtel also had recurring roles on a number of programs — Rake, Red Band Society, American Crime Story — and he had an exciting starring part on the Disney Channel original series Stuck in the Middle.
Since 2013, Bechtel has portrayed Spencer Cassadine (off and on) on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital. His portrayal of the Port Charles legacy character earned him both a Daytime Emmy and a Young Entertainer Award nomination as well as a Gold Derby TV Award for Younger Actor.
Outside of his acting, Bechtel is known for his work as a special correspondent with NBC’s Extra with Mario Lopez. Among his duties as a special correspondent with the entertainment TV show was playing interviewer to such luminaries as Chris Pratt, Adam Levine, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Soap Hub would like to wish Nicolas Bechtel a very happy birthday.
