On General Hospital, Laura Wright’s Carly is mourning her “late” husband Sonny while Wes Ramsey’s Peter is deeply in love with the mother of his child, Maxie. Off-screen, the two actors are blissfully happy together.
Ramsey posted on Instagram that a chance meeting at a party four years ago reunited him with Wright. Prior to being on GH together, they were cast members on Guiding Light where Ramsey played Sam and Wright portrayed Cassie.
“What seemed to the outside world as a coincidence of circumstance (running into each other at a party after so many years) I knew instantly in that moment that my life as I knew it was shifting,” Ramsey wrote. “When I use words like fate or destiny or magic, I think of that night 4 years ago this day, those first magnetic sequences, immediately asking for your number, the laughter that began with US right then & I feel so lucky to be alive to share all the moments left with you…❤.”
In a follow-up post, Ramsey shared a black and white photo of himself and Wright. “Write a caption’ it says…if only a ‘caption’ could sum up the story of US or bear the beautiful weight of this journey,” the actor continued. “What I will say is simply this: I believe in the healing power of love & laughter, I believe in the importance of trust & acceptance. I’m thankful we share this life, aiming towards our best selves, believing in each other along the way. 🥂 Here’s to my best friend, thank you for the fun & excitement of US & here’s to still feeling like we’re on that first date! ⚘❤ #gratefulman #lovewins #4yrs.”

Fans of the duo chimed in with well-wishes on their anniversary. “I truly believe everything happens for a reason and that God puts certain people in your life at just the right time,” posted @iamwhereibelong. “This is your time.
