The General Hospital holiday break lasted a bit longer than originally planned due to COVID-19 numbers surging in Los Angeles. While television productions were not ordered to shut down, some shows opted to take more time off than originally intended.
General Hospital: Back At Work
But several GH stars let us know on Wednesday they were finally back in the studio and ready to work. The show’s Instagram story page posted a video of Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) in the Quartermaine living room ready to tape scenes.
“Happy 2021, everyone,” LoCicero says in the video. “We are so happy to be back in the studio at General Hospital making shows for you and doing what we love. Working with this guy here [Zamprogna], who we’re so happy to have back.”
Both were masked for safety and both look like they are dressed for a funeral scene. Does that mean Carly finally gets the courage to declare Sonny legally dead although we know he is not? That would make things awkward when he is eventually found and returns to Port Charles, even if he doesn’t have a memory.
Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) and Laura Wright also tweeted about being thrilled to be back at work where they can create. There has been no word about there being a gap in original shows due to the taping delay, but recent pre-emptions probably helped the soap stay on track so ABC will not have to resort to classic episodes. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
