There’s a new fashion trend in 2020 necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe. Social distancing, staying at home, and fabric masks have become the new norm and General Hospital stars show off theirs to a very familiar tune.
General Hospital: Masked Men and Women
Along with celebrity photographer Jim Warren, your favorite GH stars from past and present took to their phones and recorded themselves wearing their masks and acting with their eyes.
“My Eyes Adored You” by Frankie Valli plays in the background as stars like Maurice Benard (Sonny), Steve Burton (Jason), Eden McCoy (Josslyn), William Lipton (Cameron), Sonya Eddy (Epiphany), Finola Hughes (Anna), and Jackie Zeman (Bobbie).
You’ll also catch some familiar sets of eyes you haven’t seen regularly in Port Charles for quite a while, including Brad Maule (Tony), Jonathan Jackson (Lucky), and even the legendary Tony Geary (Luke).
It’s a great way to catch your favorite Port Charles pals being playful and fun during a time that’s hard on everyone — while also showing us the importance of masks during this global crisis.
Wearing a mask doesn’t just keep you safe, but it keeps others around you safe and the CDC recommends cloth masks for everyone, while some states require them for any essential shopping or anywhere you can’t physically distance yourself from others by six feet.
Currently, General Hospital has halted production due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has been stretching episodes by adding flashbacks into previously taped shows. On Fridays, we see encore presentations. There is no word on when GH will go back into production.
But for a fun look at the stars, watch the whole “eyes” video in the tweet below. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
Well, here’s some fun with friendly faces from years of daytime tv – and more. I lost count at 30, maybe you’ll recognize them all. The actors made their own videos April 16-19th and I was lucky enough to lay them all down. @GeneralHospital and more.
