Eric Braeden may be celebrating 40 years as Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless, but that doesn’t mean he’s simply a legend to folks on that show. Daytime certainly knows what he has accomplished so it’s not all that surprising several big stars from General Hospital stopped by to wish the Daytime Emmy-winning star well.
Eric Braeden Celebrated
Michelle Stafford was just one of the stars that let fans know that the ABC soap had a few stars in attendance as she shared an image to her Instagram account that showed her former GH husband — James Patrick Stuart (Valentin). When she played Nina (now played by Cynthia Watros), these two got together. But in the image, she showed a couple of other special men.
“We were all there today to celebrate Eric but I am also celebrating my luck for having all three of these men in my life! I love each of these guys SO much!! SO MUCH! And James came with donuts… I mean…❤️❤️❤️ #superhomies #YR #GH @japastu @christianjleblanc #peterbergman”
Even More General Hospital Stars
But Stuart was not the only GH star in attendance. Sharon Case, who has played Sharon on YR since 1994 but also played Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) daughter Dawn on the ABC soap from 1989-1990, let that particular cat out of the bag when she shared an image of herself with none other than Maurice Benard (Sonny). But he wasn’t alone!
“@mauricebenard and @1steveburton #shylan visit the #YR set to wish a happy 40th anniversary to Eric Braeden. @youngandrestlesscbs @generalhospitalabc,” she wrote in the caption. Of course, ‘shylan’ is referring to the smoosh name of her character with Steve Burton’s YR character, Dylan, since they played husband and wife on the show.
Case then shared a picture to Twitter with both Benard and Burton and for fans of that couple, it was probably an amazing thing to see. As for Braeden, it was an incredible day of celebrating a feat that isn’t matched by many in the daytime industry.
