General Hospital’s William deVry Is Ready For His Last Week As Julian

William deVry is ending his run as Julian for now on General Hospital and has been hinting towards the end in a joking manner for weeks. Now, he’s getting more serious about it.

“Serious note on @GeneralHospital,” deVry posted on December 3rd. “I hope u all join us on #GH as I wrap up my last week of shows. Maybe the end of next week? Been a pleasure entertaining u. I love our fans. Much luv 2 all going forward. I’ll keep u posted on career, but 4 now, time off for a few months xo GH OUT.”

A few actors chimed in on this post in order to express their thanks for having worked with and met the fan-favorite. “Honored to know you,” posted Max Gail (ex-Mike). To which deVry replied: “The honor was mine. Thank you for being you. A kind soul with nothing but love for those around you.” Brytni Sarpy (ex-Valerie; now, Elena, The Young and the Restless) and Tonja Walker (ex-Olivia Jermone) also posted well-wishes to the actor.

The actor first came to the attention of soap fans when he played nefarious Michael Cambias on All My Children. Next, he joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful where he played Storm Logan. That character met a fatal end when Storm sacrificed himself so that his sister Katie (Heather Tom) could get his heart. In 2013, deVry joined GH. Initially, he went by the handle Derek Wells but was later revealed to be the presumed dead Julian, a villain from the late 1980s.

deVry’s portrayal of the compelling mobster was a hit with fans. They embraced his pairing with Nancy Lee Grahn’s Alexis and passionately dubbed the pair “Julexis.” Currently, Julian’s on the run, trying to stay two steps ahead of people who want to bring him to justice for leaving a bomb at the Floating Rib.
