Soap veteran Trent Dawson may not be on General Hospital and soaps right now, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a lot to celebrate!
That’s because he was born on, February 4, 1971, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which means he turns 50 today!
The quirky actor first came to the attention of soap fans when he was cast as Henry Coleman on As The World Turns in 1998. His character was mostly a sidekick to Katie (Teri Conn) but eventually, he earned his own full-fledged romance with Barbara Ryan (Colleen Zenk).
Dawson stayed with the soap until the end when it went off the air in 2010. But prior to that, he played a part in the choir in Steel Magnolias with Dolly Parton, Sally Field, and Julia Roberts.
After ATWT went off the air, Dawson went on to appear in the primetime shows like The Good Wife, Homeland, NCIS, and NCIS: Los Angeles. He also appeared in Castle and the TV movie Weight with former ATWT co-star, Martha Byrne (ex-Lily).
Then in 2017, he was cast on GH as Huxley Lynch who seemed to be determined to undermine Nikolas (then played by Nick Stabile). He disappeared for a while, only to turn up on the same barge that was returning Jason (Steve Burton) back to Port Charles.
While he is obviously a very talented actor, that’s not all he has up his sleeve. Dawson is also a very talented director. He directed the plays Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, The F, and Immutable, just to name a few.
In his private life, Dawson has been married to Sharron Kearney since October 13, 2012. Soap Hub wishes Trent Dawson the happiest of birthdays and you can too by clicking on the Twitter link below.
