Soaps and TV superhero series can each lay claim to having passionate and devoted audiences. Now, they have one more thing in common: actor Sebastian Roché, who played Jerry Jacks on General Hospital, is now joining the cast of the upcoming series Batwoman on The CW.
According to Deadline, Roché will play Dr. Campbell, a respected plastic surgeon and Gotham City philanthropist. Tune in to see how Dr. Campbell interacts with series lead character Kate Kane, played by actress Ruby Rose.
As GH fans recall, Jerry is one of the show’s most dastardly villains. In fact, he may be the show’s most heartless character. During the infamous Metro Court hostage crisis, he shot Robin (Kimberly McCullough). Alan (Stuart Damon) suffered a heart attack during the ordeal and later died.
Jerry later went on to blackmail Tracy (Jane Elliot), demanding shares of ELQ stock after he’d kidnapped Luke and poisoned him. Roché’s other credits include regular roles in The Man in the High Castle, The Originals, Genius, and The Young Pope. Might Dr. Campbell show a nefarious side — or is his character on the straight and narrow? Batwoman debuts Sunday, October 6 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
Not only is Roche going to be a part of this superhero series, but Roche also landed a role in the Netflix film 6 Underground starring Ryan Reynolds. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
