Julexis on General Hospital
Julexis Army, one of your commanders-in chief-on “General Hospital” has issued an order to stand down. Nancy Lee Grahn also understands why you’re ready to rumble, though.
“To pull the rug out from under Julexis is a very risky move. But no risk, no gain. And you can’t say this isn’t interesting. The next few weeks are wild. We’re going places I never would have imagined,” Nancy Lee Grahn told TV Insider’s Michael Logan.
To quell the fan fracas over the explosive events in Julian (William deVry) and Alexis’s relationship, Grahn had some recommendations:
“Have a couple of cocktails. And try to stay calm. You’re not alone. Hang on. Don’t abandon ship. If we eventually have to throw Julian overboard, so be it. It’s women and children first! I do not intend to die on the Titanic.”
Fans of this supercouple have been in a tizzy since Julian reentered the mob, murdered Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), and Alexis discovered his crimes. Yesterday, Alexis demanded a divorce, which he met with a veiled threat of violence should she try to do so. (He reminded her in all seriousness, “Till death do us part?”)
And they had been so happy and so in love!
Grahn addressed the non-formulaic story twists that frequently occur on primetime cable shows and applied them to daytime.
“We do work differently in daytime. Spontaneity is rare…So when something like this comes along that we haven’t seen before, it can really throw you.”
She also said “with optimism” that there’s more to come in the Julexis’ story, so stay tuned, fans! This is daytime, and anything is possible!
