With the state of lives across the globe uncertain right now, everyone is trying to find a comfort zone for self-care and positivity each day. General Hospital star Laura Wright, who always shows she is grateful for what she has, is no exception. And now she has some advice for you.
That advice from Wright (Carly) comes via a simple meme posted to Instagram about the small things we can all do even in quarantine to make the world a better place and give our lives small joys.
From how to stay healthy to how to let go of bad feelings it’s all there. Some of the simple tips include moving your body, eating healthy, meditating, letting go of grudges, doing something good for others, smile and laugh, and speak kindly about yourself.
One piece of advice is to spend time with other people and although we can’t do that right now in a way that feels normal to us, it can still be done. Many families over the last week celebrated the Easter and Passover holidays “together” via Zoom video chat. Others stay in touch through old-fashioned phone calls, FaceTime, and social media.
You can even see Wright showing off her FabFitFun spring box on social media, something that can bring self-care into our lives via home delivery.
In this uncertain world we live in now, Wright knows feeling thankful and finding the joy in small things is what will get us through. And we all know one of those small things is watching our soaps, so let’s keep doing it even if we have to take flashback trips on Fridays. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
