The General Hospital recap for April 6-10, 2020, features a whole lot of flashbacks changing a whole lot of story we already saw play out – plus so much more.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

A person’s past has a nasty habit of coming back and biting them in the behind – usually at the most inopportune of moments. Take Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for example.

She spent an entire decade wreaking havoc, and in her wide swath of destruction, she left her mother’s marriage in tatters, reduced Tony Jones and AJ Quartermaine to shells of their former selves and forever intertwined her life – for better or for worse – with Port Charles’ very own Teflon Don.

And then she got a big ol’ dose of her own medicine courtesy of Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) who’s been following her “big sister’s” playbook step by step. Destroy the life of her intended target? Check. Get pregnant by a Quartermaine? Check. Tumble down the Quartermaine staircase while with child? Check. Attempt to utterly annihilate the father of her child. Check and Double Check.

In fact, the only thing Nelle didn’t succeed at was seducing her prey’s husband but she managed to cause enough drama by merely planting her bra in Sonny’s bed. And now she’s currently embroiled in a custody battle with her child’s father – definite shades of Carly vs AJ. Where’s a meat hook when you need one?

This week we learned that Carly and Nelle met when Carly was a teen and went to visit Frank Benson. That makes no sense with our GH timeline and Carly and Nelle’s ages, but guess we have to go with it.

Jordan and Molly – Trouble’s Afoot

But Carly isn’t the only Port Charlesian left to face the consequence of long ago errors. There’s Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), who had to make a deal with several devils in order to free her abducted son. Now she faces the potential of not only having her secrets revealed but also bearing witness to the further atrocities that a now-liberated Cyrus (Jeff Kober) will most likely commit.

And even though her sin is only a few days old, Molly (Haley Pullos) is still struggling to rectify the fact that she slept with Brando (Johnny Wactor) – a man she barely knows and who’s at the very minimum a full decade older – while her boyfriend was held hostage by a mad man’s goons. Whoopsie!

GH Musings

Do you truly believe that Nelle is Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) daughter since she possesses what appears to be the missing half of the necklace that was supposedly halved between mother and child?

Surely she came to own the necklace after purchasing it at some thrift store, yes? If anybody is that much lamented, MUCH discussed daughter it’s most certainly Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). How else to explain her visceral reaction to seeing Nina clutching that family heirloom?

If you’ew wondering why young Carly was last seen clutching a license bearing the name Charlotte Roberts it’s because Caroline Leigh Benson came to town using the identity of her (presumed) deceased high school gal pal Charlotte “Carly” Roberts.

That was a fact made abundantly clear when the real Carly Roberts arrived in town years later having reinvented herself as an FBI agent named Reese Marshall – and yes, she did indeed sleep with Sonny. It’s a rite of passage for all single PC women. General Hospital airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
