The General Hospital recap for Thursday, April 9, 2020, features more remembrances of times past and a further complication in the hunt for Nina’s daughter.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
Carly (Laura Wright) was aghast at Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) insinuation that she knew about her existence – until she did indeed recall seeing a little blonde girl at Frank’s.
Still, she denied that Frank ever requested that she join the family and become a real sister to Nelle. Nelle decried her protests and continued to insist that she and Carly were exactly alike. Heck, they even both took tumbles down the Quartermaine staircase while pregnant!
Carly did her best to convince Nelle to give Michael (Chad Duell) sole custody; she even promised that she would ensure that Nelle received an acceptable amount of visitation privileges.
But Nelle was undeterred. She promised that not only would reclaim her son, but she would also see to it that General Hospital was left bankrupt. As Nelle staked off into the night, Carly commiserated with Jason (Steve Burton) and confided in him that he was one of the reasons that she attempted to become a better person.

Nina: Baby Blues Redux
Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher) continued to bide their time by discussing their pasts and their regrets. Today it was Nina’s turn to take center stage.
She recalled how her mother had tried to kill her – twice! – and how she had insinuated that the child Nina long thought dead was actually alive. She painfully remembered her acceptance of Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) as said daughter and the aftermath of the truth being revealed.

After insisting that Jax leaves with a visiting Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Nina retired to her office which was finally clear of those pesky, argumentative ladies.
Once alone, she collected that all-important half-heart necklace and lost herself in grief. Meanwhile, an intensely emotional Nelle – given much to think about by Carly – poured through the contents of the jewelry box.
Inside were letters from Frank to Carly (hastily returned by the recipient), the silver rattle he told her had belonged to Carly and a half-heart shaped necklace that looked the perfect match to Nina’s own! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
