As news started to bubble up about coronavirus, General Hospital star Jon Lindstrom was in New York City shooting a guest appearance on the CBS hit show, Bull, which may end up being the series’ season finale as more and more shows shut down production to protect people from the pandemic.
Jon Lindstrom Reports From New York
Last week, the actor took to social media to tease that he was headed to New York City to shoot a guest spot on a show, saying, “Sometimes, right out of the blue, you get a sweet last-minute offer and have to hop a plane to NYC. #working #secretshow #ilovemyjob #gh #actorslife #howitshouldbe”
Luckily, it didn’t take him too long to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. After posting cool pictures of himself enjoying a day off before shooting began, Lindstrom eventually revealed he was shooting Bull, which stars former NCIS and daytime actor Michael Weatherly (ex-Cooper, Loving) as the titular character.
Bull is loosely based on the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw (co-creator of the show), who had a successful trial consulting firm. As of press time, it’s unclear how Lindstrom’s character will factor into the story. But the bigger story on everyone’s mind is coronavirus. Entertainment Hub already reported that Bull is one of the shows reportedly shutting down as a precaution.
Seen Around Town
Part of Lindstrom’s experience, at this strange time in a city that has been hit by the virus, was chronicled on his Instagram account. “What coronavirus? #newyorkcity #instaflashmob,” he wrote alongside a video of just that.
But he did note there were indeed signs that New Yorkers were taking heed of social distancing. “Public bus. New York City. Rush hour. 3/11/2020. There’s actually one other passenger. You can just see a piece of her hat and leg on the right. #newyorkcity #coronavirus”
With a last look at NYC’s newest iconic building, the actor wrote, “Atzawrap NY! One last look at the Freedom Tower. Thanks to the A-list team at “Bull” for a stellar time. #MichaelWeatherly @freddyrodriguezofficial @mackenziemeehanactor #DennisSmith #BethanyRooney & the 1st rate cast & crew that made it all so easy and nuthin’ but FUN! @bullcbs #bullcbs @generalhospitalabc #gh”
You can keep an eye out for Lindstrom’s episode of Bull later in the season. Bull airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
