General Hospital Star Chloe Lanier Makes Film Dream A Reality

Daytime Emmy winner, Chloe Lanier, has been popping up on General Hospital from time to time, but that hasn’t stopped her from seeing her film dream come to fruition — and she just revealed when we’re going to get a first look.

It was late June when Lanier announced that she and her boyfriend of five years, actor Kevan McClellan, needed help to fund a film she was planning to write and direct with McClellan (the two will star in it as well). Now, the actress has shared not only how it came about but also where the special project stands right now.

“@kevan.mcclellan is a fantastic actor & writer. Earlier this year, out of frustration and an unrelenting urge to put my own creative stamp on a project, I begged him to write something with me. Thus, we wrote THE REVEAL. I’ve never been more proud of anything in my life,” Lanier wrote.

On her fundraising page, which is now closed, she described the film as an irreverent satire centered around a hipster gender reveal party. The page managed to raise almost $22,000, with 105 people donating to the cause. And for Lanier — it paid off!

They wanted to make a movie in which they were in charge so of course, they wanted to include their friends!
