General Hospital Star Bryan Craig Stars in the Film American Fighter

Morgan Corinthos is still dead on General Hospital, but his portrayer, Bryan Craig, can be seen in a new film debuting next month. The actor will appear in the testosterone-driven movie American Fighter.

The film tells the story of an anxious teen, Ali Jahani (played by George Kosturos), who is drawn into the world of underground fighting so he can earn enough money to help his mother, who’s ill.

According to the trailer, which can be seen in Craig’s post below, he plays Ryan, who helps facilitate Ali finding matches to fight. The film also stars Tommy Flanagan (Westworld) as McClellen, and Sean Patrick Flanery (ex-Sam, The Young and the Restless) as Duke.

There’s another GH connection to the film. Shaun Paul Piccinino is the co-writer and director of American Fighter. He also directed the Josh Swickard (Chase, GH) film A California Christmas.

“Hell ya brother!” Piccinino posted on Craig’s Instagram page. “So excited for the world to see you kick some serious ass in this!!! 🙌🔥🔥🔥 it was an honor to collab with ya #goteam.”

Craig replied: “🙏 dude the pleasure was all mine. Congrats on directing the hell out of a cool movie 🤙.”

As GH viewers recall, Craig exited the show back in 2016. That’s when Morgan was presumed killed in a car explosion after Ava (Maura West) swapped out his prescription mood stabilizers with placebos. The actor returned for a guest spot focusing on Ava in 2018, but he hasn’t come back to GH on a full-time basis, which is something his fans would love to see.

The actor won two Daytime Emmys in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series in 2016 and 2017. His post-GH credits include: Grand Hotel and Valor.
