While General Hospital spoilers don’t have a happy ending anytime soon for Lulu after being injured in the Floating Rib explosion, Thanksgiving was spent being grateful that the powers that be didn’t kill off the daughter of Laura and Luke Spencer. But that doesn’t mean she won’t have a battle ahead of her.
General Hospital Spoilers Wild Spec
The traumatic brain injury that Lulu (Emme Rylan) suffered, with it going undiagnosed for a while, has put the young mother in a precarious situation — a coma that no one knows if she will wake from. According to Lucas (Matt Trudeau ), her recovery will take a very long time — if she recovers at all.
Now, more than likely the show needed to rest the character, just like it does with several others from time to time (like Finola Hughes’s Anna, Kathleen Gati’s Liesl) to save money as our soaps are finding themselves with dwindling budgets and falling ratings. But the show chose a very dramatic way to do it — so why not be equally dramatic when she returns?
While it may not be Rylan when Lulu wakes up (after all, she may find a fantastic new job in the interim and be unavailable), it is a pretty safe bet that eventually the show will return to putting Laura’s (Genie Francis) daughter front and center where she belongs. But in the meantime, just like Lulu moved on after Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) left, Dante will probably do the same.
Who’s to say with whom Dante may find himself falling for but chances are, once he does, he’ll get word that Lulu has shown improvement. But what if when she awakens that damage to her ocular nerve has caused her to be blind? Could he really leave her then to fend for herself? Dante loves to rescue Lulu — this could be just the love story reunion fans were hoping for!
Sure, this is just wild speculation, but it would be great to think that Lante fans may finally get the compelling story they have waited so long for…eventually. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
