Try It On For Size

One love of Robert’s (Tristan Rogers) life, Anna (Finola Hughes), is currently engaged to another man, Finn (Michael Easton). Another, Holly (Emma Samms), is presumed dead. So he is definitely available. In both the legal and moral sense.

Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) last squeeze, Neil (Joe Flannigan), is dead. The father of her oldest daughter is… all washed up. And unwelcome in Port Charles. The father of her middle child is stuck in an endless dysfunctional relationship. The father of her youngest hasn’t been heard from in years. So she’s free, too.

But is that a good enough reason to stick two people roughly in the same age group together?

Accept No Imitations

It is not. Robert and Alexis don’t belong together for one very good reason: Whenever Robert has entered a relationship with a hot mess of a woman, it has never worked out. Cheryl claimed he was Lucas’s father. He wasn’t. Katherine prioritized her piano over him. Probably why he ended up turning down her proposal.

Anna may have betrayed Robert by being a double agent, kept Robin (Kimberly McCullough) from him for years, and wore a fake scar to play on his guilt.

Holly may have been a con artist who cheated on him with best friend Luke (Anthony Geary), and, at one point, in possession of a monkey virus cure, but neither one was a weepy, self-pitying mess.
