The General Hospital recaps for April 19-23, 2021, features Carly taking charge, Anna finally prioritizing truth and justice, and Maxie making a big, big mistake.
General Hospital Recaps Highlight
Nikolas’s (Marcus Coloma) intrusion into the Florence caper eventually resulted in Carly (Laura Wright) freeing the woman – who was promptly returned to a gloating Cyrus (Jeff Kober).
In the aftermath of her seeming defeat, Carly arranged for Jason (Steve Burton) to be sent to GH, an intricate plan that necessitated Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) brutally attacking his former associate.
Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) insinuated herself into Carly and Jason’s scheme and revealed to them that Cyrus had begun illegally peddling his newly created drug. Unfortunately for the trio, Cyrus covered his tracks before further evidence could be gathered.
Vial Decision
While Finn (Michael Easton) frantically attempted to diagnose Chase’s (Josh Swickard) mystery illness, Peter (Wes Ramsey) delighted in holding the poison’s antidote ransom.
The villain presented a sample of the much needed cure to Anna (Finola Hughes) before destroying it and insisting that she’d never obtain it unless she could convince Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to take him back.
Once Peter took his leave, Anna scooped up as much of the antidote as she could and presented it to Finn – along with the explanation that her nephew was the cause of his son’s crisis.
Hoedown Horror
The Nixon Falls Fireman’s Ball provided drama aplenty for Nina (Cynthia Watros), who not only had to play referee to a feuding “Mike” (Maurice Benard) and Elijah (Dan White) but who had to also deal with Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) sudden appearance.
And while she attempted to convince him to make tracks, the venue was raided by would-be thieves who managed to shoot and severely injure, Jax.
Right before drifting into unconsciousness, Jax caught sight of Sonny – an occurrence that was also witnessed by a rattled Nina.
The Teens Will Be Alright
Cameron (William Lipton) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) continued to disagree over Jason and his supposed involvement in Franco’s (Roger Howarth) murder. But just when it seemed like the friendship would be forever tarnished, both agreed to a cease-fire.
A Perfect Substitution
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) engaged in some serious negotiations over (the non existent) baby Cassadine, and both parties eventually agreed on a number of points.
Chief among them, Brook Lynn will “deliver” at a hospital in Bensonhurst, Valentin will be allowed inside the hospital but not the delivery room, and once the baby is born, Valentin will hand over controlling interest in ELQ. Now, for Brook Lynn to find the perfect baby to pass off as her own…
Eavesdropper
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) snuck out of her apartment, disguised in a scarf and sunglasses and under the cover of darkness, all in order to visit Nathan’s grave and share with him the details of her plan to fake little Louise’s death.
Maxie’s tearful confession was overhead by Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), who’d also decided to pay the cemetery a late-night visit. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
