The General Hospital recaps for August 9 – August 13, 2021, feature Nikolas Cassadine coming to a startling conclusion about his son, the Quartermaines learning that Austin Gatlin-Holt most likely has a claim to the family fortune, and a murder mystery gripping many in Port Charles.
General Hospital Recaps Highlight
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) fled Spring Ridge with Ryan Chamberlin’s (Jon Lindstrom) missive to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) in hand. After tracking his son down at the Metro Court, and eavesdropping on his conversation with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) – during which he learns about the party the teens intend to throw – Nikolas confronted him. Spencer swore he’d returned the correspondence, unopened, upon seeing who it was from.
Nikolas made his apologies, though he remained dubious of Spencer’s claims. Further scrutiny resulted in Nikolas deducing that Spencer was the stalker making his and Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) life a misery; he clues Ava in, then makes plans to force Spencer to come clean.
GH Recaps: Money Talks
Austin (Roger Howarth) informed Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) that he’s fairly certain documents indicating that Edward Quartermaine planned to reinstate Jimmy Lee Holt into his will exist. Opposite this, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) reveals similar info to the other Qs; they decide to try and pay Austin off with a lump sum of money, rather than re-divvy shares in ELQ.
Austin reached out to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and begged for his help in staking his claim. When Chase balked, Austin pointed out that by helping him, Chase would get an opportunity to punish Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for his careless treatment of his (Chase’s) feelings concerning Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
General Hospital Recaps: An Untoward Fate
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) made contact with Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham), but she seemingly proved unreceptive to helping them find Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig). However, the two eventually realized that Naomi had been speaking to them in code; upon doubling back, they find her dead body!

GH Recaps: The Best of the Rest
* Trina made peace with both her mother and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson); Stella finally agreed to forgo meddling in Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) relationship.
* Spencer put the finishing touches on his extravagant soirée; Cameron Webber (William Lipton), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and Trina arrived at Wyndemere, shadowed by a person unknown.
* Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) passed away in his sleep; “Mike” (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) resolved to jointly care for Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy).
* Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) consoled herself by conjuring up an image of Sonny. Their subsequent back and forth leaves her fortified enough to begin preparing for her wedding to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
