The General Hospital recaps for August 16 – August 20, 2021, feature terror descending on Spoon Island, an ex-husband returning from the metaphorical grave, and so much more! Keep reading to see what happenings you missed in Port Charles last week.
General Hospital Recaps: Monday, August 16
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) explained to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is under the impression that his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is the one stalking her; unbeknownst to the quad, their conversation was spied upon by a hospital employee.
Jasper “Jax” Jacks attempted to goad Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) into confessing to illegal activity while he secretly recorded her – but Carly was wise to her ex-husband’s chicanery….Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) shared another kiss; she later receives a phone call from a person claiming to be Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)….A person dressed as the Grim Reaper stalked Spencer’s house party.
GH Recaps: Tuesday, August 17
Sam and Dante debated the possibility that the man contacting her really was Drew….Carly informed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) of Jax’s attempt to record her; he ensures that Jax’s phone is completely erased….Spencer is felled by the masked assailant stalking Wyndemere; he tells a concerned Laura and Kevin that Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom) has just attacked him, but Nikolas appears and takes credit for the scare….Ava’s car is set alight; Ava’s later handed Kiki’s hospital badge, which she explains to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) had been buried with her daughter.
General Hospital Recaps: Wednesday, August 18
The torching of Ava’s car seemed to put Spencer in the clear – a development which greatly shook Nikolas; Drew managed to wrestle an ink pen away from one of the men guarding his cell and made short work of the handcuffs binding him….Carly made her way to Spoon Island in order to collect Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), leaving Jason to take a solo meeting with his fellow Mafiosos.
They pointedly called Carly’s loyalty to the Families into question….In the aftermath of supposedly speaking to Drew, Sam sought out her former sleuthing partner (and Drew’s BFF), Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). After mulling over the facts, and consulting her gut, Sam decided that the man on the other end of the phone was indeed Drew.

GH Recaps: Thursday, August 19
Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) attempt to console Spencer was thwarted by the sudden appearance of Esme Price (Avery Kristen Pohl), the eavesdropping nurse; she introduces herself as Spencer’s girlfriend. Once Trina takes her leave, Esme confessed to burning Ava’s car in an attempt to shift suspicion away from Spencer.
Jason tells Carly that they must marry post-haste; they set the date for September 17….Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is given the cold shoulder by GH staffers; she goes to great pains to prove that she’s not the villain they’re making her out to be.
General Hospital Recaps: Friday, August 20
Spencer declared his intention to cut all ties to his father – including his money….Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and “Mike” (Maurice Benard) poured over Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) personal effects; the mood is slightly soured when “Mike” goes in for a kiss, and Nina doesn’t reciprocate. The two make up; Nina is later stunned to find Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) standing on The Tan-o’s front step.
Willow Tait Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) revealed to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that she’s ready to reveal their affair to hubby Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard)….Chase managed to procure the document proving that Edward Quartermaine intended to reinstate Jimmy Lee Holt in his will; he’s caught out by a disapproving Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
