 Comments

The General Hospital recaps for June 28 – July 2, 2021, feature Carly Corinthos and Jason Morgan deciding to take the matrimonial plunge, Ava Jerome Cassadine spiraling out of control, and Trina Robinson finding herself in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

General Hospital Recaps Highlight

As a direct result of Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) blatant discourtesy, Ava (Maura West) was forced to admit to a blindsided Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that she was divorcing Nikolas (Marcus Coloma).

During a subsequent visit to the Corinthos compound, Ava made some off-handed comments on marriage that struck a chord with Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton). The pair eventually decided that a wedding would solidify their status as co-heads of the Corinthos empire.

The Plot Thickens

Over in Pautuck, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) search in vain for clues related to baby Louise. When a thunderstorm forces her and Valentin to take shelter inside Austin’s (Roger Howarth) abode, Anna dejectedly admits that their endeavor may be for naught.

She and Valentin shared a fraught moment, but a phone call from Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) interrupted the impending kiss. Later, while preparing herself for a return trip to Port Charles, Anna stumbled upon a photograph of Austin and his family…and while she still can’t place Austin, she reveals to Valentin that she most definitely knew his father.

The Wrong End of the Stick

Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) came dangerously close to confessing his role in Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) death – but thoughts of Violet (Jophielle Love) kept him from doing so. Still, his and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) actions arouse suspicion in Scott…though he interprets them as proof that the two are a romantic item.

Now Hear This

Carly and Jason began to disseminate the word of their impending nuptials. Most take the revelation in stride, but Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is hit particularly hard. In response, she visits Brad (Parry Shen) in Pentonville, then drowns her sorrows beside an equally depressed Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).

Public Access

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were shocked to learn that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was expecting a baby. Maxie was equally shocked to hear that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had finagled yet another job at Deception.

When Maxie expressed her disapproval, Brook Lynn revealed that she had done so that she could enroll Louise in a nearby daycare center which would provide the perfect cover for Maxie to see her baby.

A Plethora of Public Scenes

Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) argued over his reading of her journal. They later kiss! A soused Ava comes on strong to Austin, who had no desire to involve himself in a marital maelstrom.

Trina is a no-show to her own graduation party, as she’s too busy searching for Ava at the Jerome Gallery. She runs afoul of Nikolas, whom she pepper sprays. Afterward, Trina comes face-to-face with Ava’s stalker. A stand-off ensues, and Trina eventually emerges at The Savoy covered head to toe in a crimson substance.
