The General Hospital recaps for November 29 – December 3, 2021, feature a homecoming, a plethora of mourning, several Thanksgiving meals, and more.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) welcomed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) back with open arms. After an awkward reunion with Scout, Drew tells Sam and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) supposed passing.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) perpetuate the lie that Bailey is biologically theirs. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) darkens the celebration with the news that he’s nullifying the contract that gifted Brook Lynn his ELQ shares; he also delights in revealing that he sicced Anabelle 2 on the family’s turkey.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) hear about Jason’s fate from Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) respectively; Carly curses Jason’s association with Britt…Chase punches Valentin when he disparages Brook Lynn…Monica is heartened when Drew appears on her doorstep, pizzas in hand.
Marshall (Robert Gossett) introduces himself to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) as his grandfather. Curtis Ashford is livid over the situation. Though he begs off joining Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) for a Thanksgiving meal, Curtis is delighted when she persists, and brings the food, and the party – which consists of Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Phyllis Caulfield (Jouce Guy) – to him
Drew gently explained to Monica that Jason perished rescuing him from Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) clutches…Dante helps Sam process her grief about Jason; she asks him to spend the night…Carly and Sonny commiserate over Jason, then apprise Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) of the situation.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) passionately reconnect…Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Britt discover that they are more alike then previously believed…Carly and Britt both head for the footbridge that held special significance to Jason…Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) phones Sonny, and makes a point of referencing Jason.
Valentin’s formal complaint against Chase results in Chase’s suspension from the police force…Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) recommit themselves to one another – and scheme to use Drew’s return to their advantage re: Valentin’s position as CEO of ELQ.
Sonny fills Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) in on Jason’s presumed death…Carly and Britt make nice in memory of Jason…Sam and Dante make love…Alexis Davis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) Thanksgiving is thrown into disarray, thanks to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), and Valentin’s unheralded arrivals. The entire assemblage is aghast to learn that Valentin is Victor’s son.
Nina creates a distraction allowing Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to the opportunity to see their baby; they name him Liam Michael…Anna admonishes Valentin for acting spiteful and petty where Brook Lynn and Chase are concerned. She later encourages him to bid Bailey a proper adieu…Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) briefly considers coming clean about Louise, but Brook Lynn and Chase talk her round.
Carly and Britt’s kinship deepened…Brook Lynn allows Valentin to say goodbye to Bailey; the scene mortifies Maxie who exits…Austin and Peter spar. Britt honors Austin’s request to remain as Peter’s doctor – but only after Austin admits that he’s doing so in a bid to protect Maxie…Peter and Nina cross paths, and he makes reference to her and Sonny’s romance in Nixon Falls.
