The General Hospital recap for Friday, August 14, 2020, features the doors of Wyndemere opening to welcome ‘friends’ to a gala evening celebrating Ava, as well as Franco’s prowess as an artist.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
A plethora of guests made their way into Wyndemere, though none were too particularly pleased to be there. Especially Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). She was certain that she would spend the night being harangued for her actions where Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was concerned…and she had every reason to worry.
But there were other party-goers with just as much baggage. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) was still hiding her condition from Peter (Wes Ramsey) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) did her best to ascertain why. Was her bestie considering not keeping the baby? Was she worried about Peter’s reaction?
If Peter has his way, his girlfriend is going to give him a straight answer about what it is she’s hiding. He’s seen multiple instances of her recovering from dizzy spells and getting sick to her stomach and he wants the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Meanwhile, Franco (Roger Howarth) and Ava (Maura West) have problems all their own. He’s beginning to think that perhaps Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) doesn’t truly love, understand, and accept him. She’s worried that perhaps her plan for revenge against Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) has gone too far. And they’re both left aghast when the cover is finally removed from the portrait. What treachery has befallen this troubled twosome?

Family Matters
Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn (Micael Easton) planned for their upcoming wedding and the subject of invitations was on the agenda. More importantly, Anna wondered if her fiancé was going to invite his (still) estranged father, Gregory.
That would be a negative. Sure, they had buried the hatchet – to an extent. And Finn had saved Gregory’s life. But the feelings of abandonment and betrayal were still too painful for Finn to forgive…even for Violet’s (Jophielle Love) sake.
Plus, even if he could find it in himself to invite his dad, Finn also pointed out that would mean extending an invitation to his step-mother. And that certainly wasn’t going to happen. Still, Anna continued to needle and push and attempt to force Finn into doing something he wasn’t comfortable with.
Yea, this is going to be a great marriage. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
