General Hospital Recap: Two Drew Cains?

The General Hospital recap for Friday, August 9 features a number of characters taking the vows, “for better for worse…in sickness and in health” to the literal extreme.

Down at Dr. Cabot’s Warehouse of Horror, Franco (Roger Howarth) submitted to the memory mapping procedure but not before entrusting Cameron (Will Lipton) with a message for Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) — he loves her and he will see her again.

Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Drew (Billy Miller) burst in guns drawn and quickly subdued Shiloh and Cabot but it was too late to save Franco…the procedure has been completed.

Lulu (Emme Rylan) met with Robert (Tristan Rogers) at Charlie’s and knew immediately that he had bad news about Dante. Robert revealed that the shooting incident at the Ithaca facility set Dante’s progress back so far that they have decided to cease all deprogramming protocols for the foreseeable future.

Robert cautioned Lulu that she would not be seeing her husband for a very long time. Later, Lulu sat Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) down and told her a few truths about the reality she will face as a cop’s wife.

Over at Crimson, Robert arrived to fill Maxie (Kirsten Storms) in on Dante’s prognosis but instead took the opportunity to lay all the blame at Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) feet. Maxie stood up for her new lover and told Robert to get with the program – -Anna and Robin have accepted Peter as family — or get out. Just as Robert left, Lulu arrived and made her intentions clear — she will NOT be divorcing her husband.

Franco was wheeled into GH but the outlook wasn’t good. He still hadn’t regained consciousness so Elizabeth stayed by his bedside trying to will him to return to her. Shiloh remained a smooth and delusional operator who still seemed to think he will get away with his crimes.

Cameron took Drew aside and told him that the whole experiment had been performed because Drew has memories that Shiloh is desperate to have. Drew confronted Shiloh as he was being led away in handcuffs but he couldn’t pry the truth out of the slimy trickster. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
