The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, June 3, 2020, features a continued look back at the 2017 Nurses Ball. There was singing and dancing with a surprise performance, plus both Sonny and Anna had their questions answered.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Sonny (Maurice Benard) wasn’t happy with the donation Ava (Maura West) made in Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) name and he let her know it. Luckily, Scotty (Kin Shriner) was on hand to rescue his bestie.
Off that confrontation with his daughter’s mother, Sonny was told by Andre (Anthony Montgomery) that Morgan’s pill bottle contained a residue that was not lithium. The only logical conclusion? The medication was substituted with placebos!
The Name Game
Anna (Finola Hughes) continued to make apologies for the damage Alex wrought while impersonating her – sorry for the insults you received Andre! – and demand that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) reveal who he sold the Chimera to. When he finally offered up the name, it was worse than Anna could have possibly suspected. Helena Cassadine!
Putting On A Show
Inside the ballroom, Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer), Amy (Risa Dorken), and Valerie (Brytni Sarpy) delighted the audience with their take on Sara Bareilles’ Brave. Then Valentin took to the stage and crooned And So it Goes – all in the hope of impressing Nina (Michelle Stafford). The rest of Port Charles was surprised this Cassadine was musically-inclined
Next, it was Josslyn (Eden McCoy) who performed It’s Not Over Yet – a song that had the power to awaken Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and provide a sweet moment between her and Michael (Chad Duell). Remember, this is long before the whole, “Nelle left Michael to die in a car that was this close to exploding” thing. This was when GH wasn’t sure whether to make her a total sociopathic villainess or not.
Jake And His Magic Show
Jake (Hudson West) decided that he didn’t want to put on his magic act…maybe because, subconsciously, he knew it would kill everyone attending the ball. But Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) wasn’t so easily stymied.
All she has ever wanted to do her entire life was be a magician’s assistant – or, at least for the previous half hour or so – so she was going out on that stage with Jake’s bag of tricks. With or without Jake.
She dragged Emma into her scheme and the girls soon found, and pressed the “magic canister’s” secret button! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
