The General Hospital recap for Thursday, July 23, 2020, features a flashback to May of this year. In that episode, Michael married Snow White incarnate and Nelle cottoned on to a “great” idea.
Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had to answer a big question put to them by Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) respectively: are they willing to live in a loveless marriage?
Both said yes. And hey, it isn’t like Willow has Chase (Josh Swickard) to go home to anymore. Michael also put forth the argument that he and Willow like, respect, and trust one another…marriages have been built on far less than that. Plus they both agree that Wiley and his well being must come first.
Having accepted the situation, Sonny and Carly then sat about talking over the wedding plans. Rather than Michael and Willow’s quick jaunt to Vegas, a shindig at Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) – Alan left her the house, don’t you know? – was quickly cobbled together.
With everyone finally assembled at the house – including the recently bailed Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) – Michael and Willow’s uniting proceeded. It was a nice, quiet affair that ended without incident – and a chaste peck on the bride’s cheek – but Carly remained on high alert lest Nelle (Chloe Lanier) make her objection known.
And she probably would have, had she not scurried off to confront Julian (William de Vry) with visions of her own wedding dancing through her head. Marty (Michael E. Knight) is going to have a lot to answer for after accidentally putting the idea into her head.
Over at GH, Trina (Sydney Mikayla) projected her rage against Cyrus (Jeff Kober) onto Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry). For his part, Cyrus found the incident merely annoying. And it also offered him the opportunity to stealthily threaten Jordan and Curtis, his new favorite pastime.
Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Chase commiserated over their respective partners choosing to marry each other. It turned out to be a simple case of be careful what you wish for. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
