The General Hospital recap for Monday, July 20, 2020, features a flashback to May of this year. In that episode, Robert mourned, Nelle schemed, and Alexis received shocking news.
Anna (Finola Hughes) responded to an SOS sent by Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and did her best to raise the spirits of a maudlin and mournful Robert (Tristan Rogers). Mac (John J. York), Robert’s drinking buddy, also tried to comfort his brother by pointing out that he was also smarting from Holly’s (Emma Samms) loss.
But no matter the argument or plea was put his way, Robert remained resolute in his desire to wallow in self-pity and memories of his beloved – and his mood was far from buoyed by Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) arrival.
In fact, Robert went so far as to suggest that “Henrik” should feel guilty for being alive while Holly herself was with the angels – presumably. After that particularly foul outburst, the liquor was replaced with strong black coffee and Robert was shamed for his statement.
But, unbeknownst to the gathered assemblage, while Robert took his verbal thrashing, Peter snuck off to meet with one of his shady contacts. He chastised the man for killing Holly but the goon insisted that he had nothing to do with sinking spy ship. Back inside the Floating Rib, Anna revealed to Felicia that Holly’s death was not as it seemed.
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) pushed Michael (Chad Duell) into an impromptu boxing match but it was Brook Lynn who wound up fighting mad when Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Chase (Josh Swickard) joined them at Volonino’s gym.
While tearing a strip off Sasha, Brook Lynn’s wild, gesticulating hands made contact with her victim’s nose and drew blood! Michael took off for GH with the injured party leaving Brook Lynn to face Chase’s wrath…and her third arrest in as many months.
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) begged and pleaded with Nina (Cynthia Watros) – mother to mother – to serve as her sole character witness. Nina didn’t say yay or nay but Nelle was sure she had her boss hook, line, and sinker.
In the spirit of full honesty, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) came clean to her daughters about falling off the wagon. Then she learned that the lies she told during Neil’s (Joe Flanigan) hearing had lead to her disbarment! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
