General Hospital Recap: Sonny’s Children Get the Shock Of A Lifetime

The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, September 22, 2021, features Sonny Corinthos’s gaggle of offspring learning that he’s cheated death – and not for the first time. Also, Nina Reeves wonders how she’ll ever be redeemed, and Ava Jerome Cassadine puts off today what she can do tomorrow.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Having praised Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos Morgan (Laura Wright) – and yes, she’s still legally a Morgan; at least, until Sonny is no longer a walking corpse in the eyes of the law – for their wedding scheme, Sonny (Maurice Benard) decided that it’d be a good idea to tell his kids (biological and otherwise) that he was alive and well.

So, Carly sent out a mass text, which saved several of the characters from awkward situations; Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) didn’t have to stand around making small talk with Harrison Chase (Joshua Swickard) and Willow Tait Chase (Katelyn MacMullen); Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) got to avoid a forced hang sesh with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl); and Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) got pulled away from her engrossing conversation with Ava (Maura West).

Like Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) before them, the group was very pleased to lay eyes on Sonny, though they weren’t exactly surprised; he isn’t the first Port Charlesite to return from the grave, nor will he be the last. Celebratory champagne for everyone!

Can she be forgiven for her most recent transgressions? It’s a question that Nina (Cynthia Watros) – and her fans – desperately need to have answered. Perhaps Phyllis “I Now Have Nothing and No One” Caulfield (Joyce Guy) said it best when – and we’re paraphrasing here – get over, and get moving; don’t worry about the past, focus on the future

For weeks, all Ava (Maura West) has been able to think about is severing her ties to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) so she could please her stalker and keep her daughter safe.
