The General Hospital recap for Monday, September 20, 2021, features Sonny Corinthos completing his long arduous journey home – but has he arrived far too late? The newly deemed Mr. and Mrs. Jason Morgan seem plenty content with their new normal.
Though he did have the time to growl angrily at her, Sonny (Maurice Benard) had no time to indulge Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) delusions where their non-existent relationship is concerned – he’s got a wife, and nearly a half dozen children to reunite with.
But unbeknownst to Sonny, that precious wife of his just married the great (formerly unattainable) love of her life, so she’s sitting pretty. Bonus? Jason (Steve Burton), despite being besotted with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) one month previous, has decided that he’s ready to make a real go of it with Carly (Laura Wright). Which is great news for the newlyweds; not so much for Sonny.
Nina, you did a bad, bad thing scolded a hypocritical Anna Devane (Finola Hughes); how dare you keep quiet about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and his shenanigans! Following that scene, Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) set off to find the villain – and both were packing heat!
Opposite Anna coming upon her errant nephew, Nina – having finally remembered she has some familial duties – phoned Maxie and warned her that big, bad Peter was on the loose.
A pox upon anyone who dares besmirch Olivia Falconeri’s (Lisa LoCicero) precious Leo – even if it’s the man who adopted the boy, and has been raising him like the son he never had…as if his opinion matters in the least!
