General Hospital Recap: Sonny Remembers A Faceless Blonde Woman

The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, February 16, 2021, features Sonny getting a clue, Cyrus getting personal, Alexis staring defeat in the face, and Nina playing the blame game.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

After being left to his own devices, Sonny (Maurice Benard) wound up falling asleep and dreaming of a comforting, blonde-haired female figure. Upon rousting, Sonny told Lenny (Rif Hutton) that he thinks he’s remembered someone from his past.

The Same, But Different

After telling Laura (Genie Francis) that he plans to attend Sonny’s memorial service, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) acquiesced to his sister’s threat not to do so…but only on the proviso that she skip the service as well and have a cup of coffee with him instead.

During their sip and chat, Cyrus pointedly wondered whether or not Laura truly believed she’d have turned out differently from Cyrus if Lesley (Denise Alexander) had turned her back on all those decades prior. And since honesty has always been Laura’s downfall, she admitted that it’s possible she would have gone down the same path as her villainous sibling.

Shaming The Devil

After having praise heaped upon her by Molly (Haley Pullos), Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) handed over the vodka bottle that she’d downed earlier. When Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) happened upon the scene, Alexis confessed to falling off the wagon yet again.

In response, Molly decided that she and her mother would forego Sonny’s memorial. Once alone, the two of them discussed the strategies Alexis could use in her upcoming court case, but she wondered why she shouldn’t just go ahead and plead guilty.

After all, she had done the crime. Why not do the time? At least corporal punishment might keep her away from the booze she so desperately craved.

Woman On The Warpath

Meanwhile, Nina (Cynthia Watros) continued to eavesdrop on Carly (Laura Wright) and Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) conversation and learned quite a few upsetting facts. First, Carly had hesitated to help Nelle (Chloe Lanier) while she dangled from the cliff. Second, Jax had been the one to convince Carly to withhold that information.

So, while Sonny’s family eulogized him inside the church, Nina took to her daughter’s grave and promised that justice would prevail. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
