General Hospital Recap: Smike Looks For Nina As The Tan-O Burns

The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, September 14, 2021, features Nina Reeves and Phyllis Caulfield being left to go out in a blaze of glory, Alexis Davis and Harmony deciding that they’re not so different after all, and Drew Cain and Nurse Jennings making a run for it.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Nina (Cynthia Watros) learned the hard way that lying to Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is a very, very bad idea. First, she and Phyllis (Joyce Guy) had to suffer the indignity of being tied together; then, Peter let the cat out of the bag regarding “Mike’s” (Maurice Benard) true identity – and Nina’s prior knowledge of him. To say that Phyllis was not amused would be an understatement.

Next, Peter gagged the women, doused The Tan-o in gasoline, and dropped a match. By the time “Mike” arrived on the scene – having spent far too much time growling at Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) – the pub was engulfed in flames and the chances of rescuing the women slim.

GH Recap: Common Bonds

Sure, Harmony (Inga Cadranel) nearly allowed a sociopath to rape both of her daughters, but Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) had to admit that she’s trying to make amends…which is something that Alexis can relate to. Also, they both agree that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) isn’t at all what she seems – though Harmony is far more inclined to believe that the young woman is a snake in the grass.

It’s a sentiment that’s shared by Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who, after blasting Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) for masquerading about town as Victor, gives serious consideration to the fact that Esme not only helped him but that the two are up to something even more devilish.

General Hospital Recap: Making Tracks

Meanwhile, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Nurse Jennings (Phoebe Kuhlman) got the drop on not one but two EPG’s (Evil Prison Guards), but it was only the latter who wound up making an escape into the wide blue yonder.
