The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, August 20 features some devastating news, an awkward luncheon, and Maxie getting a much-needed confidence boost.
Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) enjoyed his time in the Port Charles Police Department as it gives him a chance to play cat and mouse with Dranco (Roger Howarth. He warned Dranco not to trust Franco’s friends and family because they are all liars who only have their interests at heart.
He even used Oscar as an example. Did anyone bother to inform that “he” has a son? Shiloh promised to be a good friend to Dranco. He just needs one teensy weensy favor: the location of the illegal loot that Tex smuggled out of Afghanistan and into the U.S.
Later, the real Drew (Billy Miller) paid Dranco a visit. Dranco promised to be straight with Drew if turn about was fair play. Drew agreed and Dranco asked about Oscar. A misty-eyed Drew recounted Oscar’s life story (at least the little bit he could tell) and then he sadly revealed the young man’s fate.
A mournful Dranco repaid Drew’s honesty with the location of the money. It’s situated inside a vehicle that belonged to Tex’s wife. This car wound up in the hands of Oscar who willed it to Cameron Webber — will this poor kid ever catch a break? He can’t even enjoy a car left to him by his dead best friend.
At Crimson, Hayden complimented Maxie’s initiative and wondered why the fashionista never pursued her MBA. It would be a great boon for Maxie down the road if she ever aspires to be something bigger in the publication game.
Maxie dismissed the notion out of hand but Peter (Wes Ramsey) made her rethink her position. Why should she always remain a number two? She has the smarts to be a leader, a trendsetter, hell she could even run her own magazine one day!
However, Peter had more important things to think about when Shiloh called. The man has phone freedoms from Pentonville, of course, and we realized Peter was the man Helena was with that fateful night. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
