The General Hospital recap for Monday, September 16 features one heck of an awkward encounter, a major secret revealed, the threat of murder and the beginning of a dangerous liaison.
If you could die from embarrassment then Lulu (Emme Rylan) would be deader than a doornail after her mother and Curtis (Donnell Turner) walked in on her and Dustin (Mark Lawson) in bed.
Lulu chased the unintentional voyeurs out of the stateroom and told them about her new “no apologies and no explanations” mentality — a sentiment that Laura (Genie Francis) championed.
With that out of the way, Lulu demanded to know what they were doing on the ship but Curtis and Laura tried deflecting the questioned. Finally, they admitted that they were on the hunt for something that Curtis had been hired to find but that’s the entire story as far as Lulu is concerned.
At GH, in the spirit of full honesty, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) reveled to Michael (Chad Duell) that she is not Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter. Furthermore, she named Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) as the con’s mastermind.
When Michael asked why she would perpetrate such a damaging lie, Sasha admitted she did it for money — her grandmother was ailing and the medical bills were piling up so Valentin’s offer seemed a Godsend.
She also said that after her grandmother’s death she turned to Nina for comfort and was then unable to be truthful about her identity. When Nina and Valentin interrupted the conversation Michael tore out of the room and Sasha was sure she had lost him forever.
Liesl (Kathleen Gati) once again threatened Brad (Parry Shen) with exposure if he didn’t help her with a “small” favor. This time she wanted him to pave the way for a reconciliation with her daughter Britt. When Julian (William deVry) chanced by, Brad told him what Liesl was up to and begged him to eliminate his blackmailer.
Julian went to the garage and began preparation to sever the breaks on Liesl’s car but he was distracted by memories of Kim (Tamara Braun). Unbeknownst to Julian, his lady love was being confronted by Dranco (Roger Howarth), who was still insistent that he and Kim belonged together since he had Drew’s memories.
After Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) removed Dranco’s ankle monitor, Dranco began making preparations to leave town but an emotionally wrecked and clearly insane Kim stopped him from exiting and pulled him into a kiss! General Hospital airs weekday on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
