General Hospital recap for January 20-24 features a less than cordial reunion and a residency shuffle.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Reunions between estranged fathers and sons are tough enough at the best of times. And when that estrangement is due to the parent faking their death so they can scheme against a rival family member it’s doubly so.
So it probably comes as no surprise that Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) — who was initially estatic to see his back from the dead papa — wasn’t exactly thrilled to learn about the circumstances surrounding Nikolas’ (Marcus Coloma) three-year absence.
And if the boys parting shot is anything to go by — “Stay the hell AWAY from me! — it doesn’t seem like a few heartfelt apologies are gonna mend this emotional wound any time soon.
GH Musings
“A second chance with a loved one. That is a miraculous thing, that so many other people would give anything for.” And this is coming from a woman who shelled out thousands of dollars to two different psychics just to get a message across to a very persnickety and judgmental ghost.
“Over my dead body!” Careful with the hyperbole Carly. There’s plenty of people who’d like to take you up on that offer.
‘I have a better offer, one that you’ll have a hard time refusing.” Man, Michael (Chad Duell) is starting to sound more and more like Sonny (Maurice Benard) every day, huh?
Speaking of his decision to move Nelle (Chloe Lanier) onto the Quartermaine property…whose going to be the most upset that they weren’t consulted first? “This is my house” Monica (Leslie Charleson), Tracy (Jane Elliot) or “family matriarch” Olivia (Lisa LoCicero)?
Considering that she’s already given away 45% of Deception Cosmetics — Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) got 30% and Crimson Magazine will be taking 15% — Lucy (Lynn Herring) better be awfully careful when tempting other interested parties. Knowing her, she’ll wind up having less than half of a say in the running of her own company.
“Decent men don’t remain that way around the Cassadine fortune.” Another day, another truism from Mayor Laura Collins. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
