The General Hospital recap for January 18-22, 2021, features quite the predicament for Sonny, a marriage in crisis, and a secret on the verge of being outed.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
Sonny (Maurice Benard) managed to subdue the would be thief at The Tan-o, though his heroic action earned him very little thanks from Lenny (Rif Hutton). Later, an unmedicated Sonny began to experience a manic episode, which only served to raise his employer’s suspicions.
Aha Moment
A tense confrontation between Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Tracy (Jane Elliot) resulted in the former realizing that her husband had been unfaithful…and that his adulterous act had been committed with the very woman whose reputation Olivia was trying to save!
And Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was indeed exonerated of her drunk driving charge – thanks for finally coming clean Tracy! – but the damage to the Quartermaine marriage was done. Ned begged and pleaded for forgiveness, and when it wasn’t forthcoming, he agreed to move out of the mansion…but he implored Olivia to try and understand his actions.
Let’s Make A Deal
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) managed to uncover the pact that Franco (Roger Howarth) and Jason (Steve Burton) made concerning the latter’s possible euthanasia, and she made a beeline for her ex, whom she attempted to dissuade of the notion.
But while her pleas fell on deaf ears – Jason REALLY wants to kill Franco – her husband continued to hear Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) voice inside his head, and this time the artist formerly known as Henrick is introducing someone (who we know to be Helena Cassadine) to Drew Cain.
Meanwhile, Peter attempted to charm his sister into giving him access to her hospital computer. And since Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had obtained a new perspective where her brother was concerned, she left him to it…just so she could see what he was up to. Now, if only she could figure out Peter’s interest in Franco.
Secrets and Lies
Carly’s (Laura Wright) problems were compounded when she learned that Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had given Ava (Maura West) the necklace that Avery discovered in the woods. The very necklace that would prove that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) were mother and daughter.
Jax (Ingo Rademacher) thought the development a positive one; now he can stop lying to Nina. But Carly was sure the truth would result in her imprisonment for murder, so she wasn’t about to let the secret out. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
