The General Hospital recap for Friday, June 5, 2020, features a look back at the 2018 Nurses Ball which included a proposal, the uncovering of a carefully guarded identity, and a declaration of love.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), AKA the mistress of ceremonies, got the party started by reminding the audience of something that was truly important – even more so than the glitz and glamour – the desire to help one another.
It was a sentiment held by the nurses themselves who entertained the crowd with a rendition of Everyday People. Afterward, Chase (Josh Swickard) was thrown up on the stage to perform Feel It Still. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) hoped the experience would humiliate his partner – how dare he not be Nathan (Ryan Paevey)! – but Chase wound up stealing the show.
Magic Hour
Next up was Obstacle Illusion and Mirage – better known as Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Nina (Michelle Stafford). Curtis transformed a staid, boring scar into a rainbow-colored masterpiece, produced flowers out of thin air, repaired a ripped apart newspaper, and turned a silver dollar into an engagement ring which he then presented to Jordan (Vinessa Antoine). She, of course, said yes. Stella (Verne Watson), of course, was fit to be tied.
Guess Who
Peter (Wes Ramsey) claimed that he didn’t smoke. So why did a snooping Sam (Kelly Monaco) find a lighter on his desk? And why did the lighter bear the initials CF? Surely this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Peter is Henrik…the son of the dreaded Cesar Faison (Anders Hove)? Well, that and the fight Sam saw him having with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). That was very suspicious.
Though he came as Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) date, Finn (Michael Easton) was consumed with thoughts of Anna (Finola Hughes). He was sure she was dying. He did come across her Last Will & Testament after all
He confronted her backstage and revealed to her that he knew her “secret.” She thought he’d cottoned on to the facts that she was Peter/Henrick’s mother (a fact which is still very much up for debate) but he mentioned her impending death.
Then he told her that he was still in love with her, which wasn’t exactly what Alexis needed to hear as she stood in the wings waiting to accept the Port Charles Pioneer Award. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
