The General Hospital recap for Monday, March 30, 2020 features collusion amongst hospital personal and their families, as well as the besmirchment of reputations and trouble amongst the young and in love.
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) happened upon a nearly hypothermic Nelle (Chloe Lanier) wrapped in a tarp when she went up to the roof for some fresh air. When awakened and questioned as to how she came to be in her current predicament, Nelle laid the blame squarely at Carly’s (Laura Wright) feet.
After being escorted downstairs, Nelle insisted that an arriving Chase (Josh Swickard) arrest Carly for attempted murder but Carly and Michael (Chad Duell) cautioned against such action – surely she wanted to see Wiley the moment he awoke from his heart surgery!
Nelle immediately – and rightfully – claimed fraud, and insisted that her signature on the consent form was forged…if only Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) had been able to provide the obvious evidence.
Everyone waited with bated breath for Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) update and she happily informed that Wiley was doing fine. However, in six months’ time, he would have to be fitted with a special device that will help his heart recover from the already sustained damage. It’s an eventuality that Nelle refuses to allow. Afterward, Michael informed his family that he is resolute in his desire to win full custody of his son.
While Molly (Haley Pullos) filled Sam (Kelly Monaco) in on discovering Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) leaving Jordan’s apartment, the Commissioner readied herself to deliver the damning testimony that she and her new cohorts had concocted.
There was just one thing she needed to do first – retrieve a burner phone and use it to contact a mystery person whose permission she needed to move forward. After obtaining it, she sat down with a detective from Internal Affairs and began to tell her story.
A confused Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron (William Lipton) sought advice from Ava (Maura West) and Franco (Roger Howarth), respectively. Both questioned the validity of the surprise kiss they had shared and they were cautioned by each adult to let their hearts speak for themselves – if they want to pursue the matter further, go for it; if not, they needed to establish boundaries moving forward.
At GH, Sonny and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) worried about Mike’s (Max Gail) refusal to stand, let alone walk, and despite demanding comprehensive tests, Sonny was told that there is nothing medically wrong with his father. Sprained wrist aside. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
