General Hospital Recap, Monday, July 8: A Soapy Wedding Celebration

The General Hospital recap for Monday, July 8 features two women in free fall with Kim metaphorically sliding into madness and Liesl literally falling overboard a ship. Oh, and a pretty cool wedding reception.

Guests arrived at The Haunted Star for Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) belated wedding reception. Below deck, the two lovebirds slipped into a stateroom for some private time as husband and wife.

Over at the Metro Court, Ava (Maura West) met with her new psychic (special guest star Veronica Cartwright) she has hired to make contact with Kiki. A doubting Ava is left speechless when the psychic recited the final confrontation between Ava and Connie Falconeri word for word.

Nina (Cynthia Watros) revealed to Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) that her mother was one of this woman’s biggest clients. After Nina insults her, the psychic gives Valentin an ominous message from Madeline.

Back at the Haunted Star, Drew (Billy Miller) and Terry (Cassandra James) discussed Kim and the state of her mental health. Kim (Tamara Braun) interrupted them and claimed to have seen the error of her ways but then asked Drew once again to make a baby with her.

Franco and Liz appeared before the crowd and gave their thanks to everyone for their love and support. Cameron (William Lipton), Aiden (Jason David), and Jake (Hudson West) surprised their mom and Franco with a song that Cameron wrote just for them. Cameron also called France dad and the two shared a warm moment.

Liesl (Kathleen Gati) got progressively drunk and as the night dragged on she made a real nuisance of herself. For example, she cornered Felix (Marc Samuel) and told him that Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas’s (Ryan Carnes) marriage was on the rocks. Nina rescued Finn from her aunt’s rant about Anna and then left her with Jax.

Franco took Liesl aside to ask her what was wrong. She admitted that she was lonely. Liesl also came to the realization that she should reveal the truth about baby Wiley.

Ava arrived at the boat with her psychic and took her to the room where Kiki’s body was found. A blackout occurred during which Liesl was shoved off the ship’s deck and into the water.

Drew and Kim checked out the fuse box and Kim took the opportunity to stick Drew with a needle. (Kim apparently really, really needs another Oscar.) When the lights were turned back on the guests were shocked to see a newly-returned Hayden. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
