The General Hospital recap for February 24-28, 2020, features a canvas full of characters being forced to make some big decisions — some choose well and others…not so much.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Everybody in Port Charles had to make them. Taggert (Real Andrews) decided to broach the possibility of a partnership with Sonny (Maurice Benard).

Laura (Genie Francis) decided to offer Sonny the opportunity to quell the escalating turf war on his terms before she is forced to take drastic, all-encompassing action.

Curtis (Donnell Turner), Jason (Steve Burton), and Taggert decided to storm the warehouse where Cameron (William Lipton) and Trina (Syndey Mikayla) were being held, guns a blazing — and Taggert decided to put himself in the line of fire in order to give his daughter a chance of escape.

Love, Hate, And Marriage

Molly (Haley Pullos) decided to keep her relationship’s status quo by refusing to marry TJ after eight years of dating — hey, it’s always been him acquiescing to her, why change a good thing now?

Ava (Maura West) decided that her best recourse for achieving that much-desired divorce from Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) was to somehow convince him to sleep with. Either Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) or Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) will do.

And Brad (Parry Shen) decided to keep Julian’s (William de Vry) involvement in the Wiley caper a secret — for the time being — while the latter decided to help a blackmailing Brook Lynn deal with her Linc problem.

GH Musings

Ava: “Nikolas and Elizabeth had an affair?” Indeed they did. And in fact, their tryst led to a paternity pickle with Elizabeth became pregnant with Aidan and wasn’t sure which man (Nikolas or Lucky) was the father.

Hands up anyone who remembered Elizabeth’s little mentioned past as an artist? For those who don’t, Mrs. Webber Baldwin was so talented that Lucky had implored her to go to art school in New York City — something she seriously considered.

Ava: “Wyndemere is very safe.” Carly: “Do you know how many people have met with untimely deaths out there?” So, there was Katherine Bell, Stefan Cassadine, Summer Halloway, Cody McCall, Emily Quartermaine, Irina, and Chloe Morgan…did we miss anyone?

Nelle: “You’d keep my own child away from his own mother? What if somebody did that to you Carly? Oh wait…you couldn’t even bear to be a mother to Michael. You pushed him away. How long was it before you even held him in your arms.”

What a clever — and vicious — way to reference Carly’s struggle with post-partum depression — the illness that resulted in Michael being raised by Jason (who also named the babe) and Robin for the first few months of his life.

For anybody wondering about the fate of Gia Campbell (Taggert’s little sister), she’s now an immigration lawyer in Laredo, Texas. Girl came a long way from her days as a thieving, blackmailing, hit and run driver.

Who else is feeling a Cameron/Trina coupling? And if the Powers That Be were to grant our wish what’s the perfect smoosh name? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check our local listings for airtimes.
