The General Hospital recap for April 27-May 1, 2020, features a whole bunch of characters learning that it pays to think before leaping… and others learning that lesson the hard way.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
When some people get mad, they get even. Others become better strategists. Most of the denizens of Port Charles fall into the latter category… much to the consternation of their enemies.
Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) have shaken hands on a mutually-beneficial agreement that’s going to see the former continue to live and allow the latter to keep “his” streets free of smack.
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is stifling (most of) her anger and resentment and is instead focusing on strengthening her case for custody of Wiley. Were anyone to ever catch Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) beating and bruising a tree, Nelle might really be in for a win.
And then there’s Charlotte (Scarlet Fernandez). Deciding that she doesn’t want to be without “Papa,” Charlotte ran away, stamped her feet, cried a river of tears, blaming all the adults for her situation.
The result of the tantrum? Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) will no longer be going to court over custody issues. This little miss is playing to win…she’s going to be one to watch a few years down the road.
The Davis Girls
But there are a few characters who aren’t exactly skilled about thinking before leaping. Take Molly (Haley Pullos) for instance. She got mad, REALLY mad. Then that made her sad…and randy.
So she jumped into bed with the first man who talked sweet to her and now she’s decided to stay mum about the whole incident. What TJ (Tajh Bellow) doesn’t know won’t hurt him…right?
Need proof that the apple doesn’t fall from the tree? Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Neil (Joe Flanigan) were mad that a bunch of people were telling them what they could and couldn’t do in a bedroom.
So they slept together. That’ll show those people who don’t want them to sleep together! But now, he doesn’t have a job and she’s gonna have to fight to keep hers. See. It pays to stop, think, and strategize rather than give into anger and resentment.
GH Musings
When discussing the vacant position of Head of Internal Medicine with Portia (Brook Kerr), why did Liz (Rebeca Herbst) fail to mention that her paternal grandfather, Steve Hardy, held that job for over two decades? Did the writers just forget that little history nugget?
They’ve already (clearly) forgotten that the floor housing Internal Medicine was the original setting of this soap from it’s April 1, 1963 debut until sometime in the early 2000s.
Now that Sasha and Chase are spending all their free time together commiserating over their plan to torpedo their respective relationships, do you foresee true love blossoming? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
