The General Hospital recap for Monday, September 14, 2020, features more of Mike’s friends and family gathering to say goodbye, Robert and Olivia embarking on a caper, Nina remembering some vital intel, and Britt continuing to make waves.
The news of Mike’s (Max Gail) impending passing began to trickle out to those closest to him and many took the opportunity to visit. Jason (Steve Burton) promised to look out for Mike’s family.
Michael (Chad Duell), like Josslyn (Eden McCoy) before him, regretted the future that was being snatched away. And Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) wanted desperately to thank Mike for the encouragement he gave her – especially when he was the only family member to do so.
Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) arrived in Monaco and ensconced themselves in one of the last available hotel rooms. Once settled, Robert learned from an old contact that the call he received featuring Holly’s plea for help was made from a casino formerly owned by Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck).
Without backup and in desperate need of answers, Robert agreed to Olivia’s suggestion that she join him on his recon mission. Before exiting for the game room, Olivia phoned Ned (Wally Kurth) – and the enigmatic message she left on his voicemail was listened to by a nosy Brook Lynn!
Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher) spent an idyllic day taking in all the picturesque – and free – sights offered in New York City. They ended their tour at Ryan’s Bar (yes, the same watering hole featured in the daytime drama Ryan’s Hope) where Nina reminisces about the building and its surroundings.
The bar served as Ava (Maura West) and Silas’s (Michael Easton) love nest. The hospital across the street employed the now deceased louse. And she and Silas resided in an apartment not too far away.
Nina continued down the rabbit hole and remembered how her mother had encouraged Silas’s affair and how she had ended up in her vegetative state. And just before things became too maudlin, Nina was suddenly reminded of how she knew Phyllis Caufield – the woman who had the heart necklace split into two pieces.
Over at GH, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) delighted in revealing her promotion to Chief-of-Staff to Felix (Marc Samuel) and continuing to exercise her newly-gained authority. Felix insisted that his fellow workers unite against the tyranny, and he overheard a very telling conversation between Britt and Julian (William de Vry). General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
