The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, December 10, 2019, features Peter cutting his assassin off at the pass, a surprising partnership, and everyone rejoicing at Griffin’s presence.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) desperate attempt to stop his hired gun was momentarily scuttled by a pushy Laura (Genie Francis) who wanted to talk prison overcrowding. He promised to attend her meeting and raced off to stop what he put into motion.

He arrived in the operating room to find Andre (Anthony Montgomery) unconscious on the floor and killer hovering over Dranco (Roger Howarth). Without uttering a word, Peter picked up the man’s discarded gun and shot him with it.

When the cavalry arrived, Peter spun a convincing enough web that got him off the hook. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) panicked, thinking that Franco’s procedure had been compromised, and begged her husband to return to her.

Team Up

Ava (Maura West) had an awfully hard time buying Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) suggestion that they team up to wreak some havoc on the Cassadine men. “Why shouldn’t I believe you’re here as Valentin’s emissary preying on my vulnerable state?”

Nina insisted that she had no interest in helping Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) — she is fed up with his lies and deception and she wants to turn the tables on him once and for all.

Ava remained warry and asked Nina why everyone in her orbit is desperate to get their hands on Helena’s portrait. Nina explained the situation concerning the codicil and implored Ava to help her help Spencer.

Ava was swayed — momentarily — but Nina clinched the deal by offering up Nikolas’ ring so Ava will have proof that Nikolas is alive and she was being gaslit. To cement their partnership, Ava revealed that she has covered Helena’s picture with another canvas.

Reunions and History Lessons

Anna (Finola Hughes) was beyond delighted to reunite with her pseudo-step-son Griffin (Matt Cohen) and they discussed Finn’s (Michael Easton) surprise daughter and Anna’s (maybe) son Peter.

Maxie (Kristen Storms) enthusiastically butted in to say hello and play her own game of catch up with the former priest who disappointed both ladies by saying he was heading out of town that night.

Later, Maxie and Griffin — along with an assist from Laura — explained Charlotte’s interesting conception and birth to a confused Jax. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
