On the one hand, General Hospital’s Nina and Ava have plenty of reasons to be gal pals. They’re both gals. They have similar tastes in men. And they’re both somewhat off the wall.
But there are also plenty of reasons for them not to run out and buy matching BFF necklaces quite yet.
That guy they both once thought was super hot, Doc Silas (Michael Easton – not to be confused with Doc Hamilton Finn, who Easton is playing now)? Ava (Maura West) had an affair with him. While he was married to Nina (Cynthia Watros). That could put a damper on things. But why not let bygones be bygones?
After all, it’s not like Nina gave Ava a paralyzing drug, cut the baby she was carrying out of her uterus, took off with the tyke, and left Ava to bleed to death. Oh. Wait. That also happened. So does anyone see an impediment to friendship here? We heard from almost 6,000 of you about it.

Oh, who cares — 40% of you are loving it! The only thing better than one crazy woman on soaps who takes no prisoners is two crazy women on soaps who take no prisoners. It’s double your fun! And it’s what Silas deserves for not appreciating two such amazing women. We know he’s dead… for now.

This pairing might eventually work at some point in the future, so 35% of General Hospital fans are willing to keep an open mind. The fact is, these women have forgiven the men in their lives for worse crimes. So why not some sisterhood — and scheming!
