The General Hospital recap for January 11-15, 2021, features Sonny on a journey of self-discovery, a whole lot of characters on the edge, and Alexis being vindicated.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
A worse for wear Sonny (Maurice Benard) managed to drag himself off the ground but it was thanks in no small part to Mike’s (Max Gail) heavenly intervention. And miracle of miracles, as soon as Sonny got onto his feet he was rescued by a friendly rambler…if only he could remember his name, where he comes from, or ANYTHING pertinent.
Daytime’s latest amnesiac found himself hospitalized, and placed under the care of one Phyllis Caulfield (Juliette Jeffers), AKA the nurse who tended to Nina (Cynthia Watros) and helped steal her baby.
Phyllis took Sonny under her wing, concluded that his name was Mike (thanks to the engraved hand-me-down watch Sonny sported), and spirited him out of the clinic and into the pub that her surly husband owned.
Lenny wasn’t interested in helping another one of his wife’s pet projects, especially one that couldn’t even remember his own name. Sonny soon turned him around, but no sooner had he done so, than a gun-toting intruder stormed the bar and demanded all the cash in the register!
Emotional Overloads
T.J. (Tajh Bellow) decided to let bygones be bygones and he and Molly (Haley Pullos) reconfirmed their love for one another. But Molly still had lots of explaining to do. Like how Brando (Johnny Wactor) had pushed for her to come clean about their affair and how she ignored the sound advice. If only she had clued T.J. in BEFORE he went and punched Brando in the face.
Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) was left fuming when Ava (Maura West) insisted that she and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) would be taking charge of Avery. How dare Ava want full custody of her daughter! And how dare she have a husband to support her decision when Carly was currently didn’t have hers.
Criminal Minds
Jason (Steve Burton) worried that rival factions would soon make a move on Sonny’s territory when word got out about his disappearance. But he needn’t have bothered. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) saw to it that Sonny’s interests were secured…in the most bloody way possible. And all he claimed to want in return was his mother. But Jason knew better.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that her mother-in-law’s story about Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) drunk diving didn’t pass the smell test. So she roped Sam (Kelly Monaco) into helping her investigate.
And sure enough, Olivia’s gut instinct was proven correct. But now she and Sam had to decide how to proceed with the information that they had gleamed. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
