The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, February 5, 2020, features some long-awaited answers, Nelle’s sharing her plan, joyous news for Brad, and disappointment for Nina and Jax.
Jason (Steve Burton) arrived at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) and revealed to him and Carly (Laura Wright) that the man behind the attacks is one Cyrus Renault — a ruthless drug trafficker that even Sonny’s knows is not to be trifled with. And yet, he does just that by paying his newest Pentonville-housed enemy a visit.
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was less than thrilled at her change in accommodation, which an arriving Martin (Michael E. Knight) assumed was because she was trying to win Michael (Chad Duell) back.
But Mrs. Archer is quick to correct her lawyer. She’s not looking for love, she’s all about the Benjamins. “I have one shot at the Quartermaine fortune and I am going to make it count.”
Finn (Michael Easton) was not happy to find Peter (Wes Ramsey) playing superheroes with Violet (Jophielle Love) and after trying to explain his feelings to Anna (Finola Hughes) — who was less than receptive — he learned that she purposefully withheld the evidence showing a link between Peter and the would-be hospital assassin.
Julian (William deVry) swung by Brad’s (Perry Shen) with the express purpose of drugging his son-in-law and making it appear as though he was a long time drug user so he could get custody of Wiley. Luckily, before Brad could drink the spiked cappuccino, he received a phone call alerting him to the fact that Lucas (Ryan Carnes) has awakened from his coma!
After witnessing an awkward exchange between Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher), Maxie (Kristin Storms) learned the two shared a kiss. Maxie was beyond thrilled and she encouraged Nina to pursue the matter further.
However, when Nina brought up the subject to Jax, he apologized, insisted that it would never happen again and the two decided that henceforth they would only be colleagues — though it was obvious that neither one was thrilled with the development.
